The Tesar Jazz Band arrives from Mikkeli to London on Friday, 3 June. They offer jazz-lovers a chance to enjoy music at the Finnish Church in London. Apart from music, you can enjoy this summer’s first barbeque.
Tesar Jazz Band was formed 20 years ago, and the musicians’ love for jazz is the band’s driving force. The band has successfully represented Mikkeli and Finland all around the world. They’ve toure in America, Asia, Africa and various European countries. Their Jazz & Swing Forever -concerts have offered Mikkeli a regular opportunity to hear Finland’s top Jazz musicians, as they’ve performed as the bands soloists over the years.
The Tesar Jazz Band plays mainstream and swing jazz, and their repertoire includes evergreens from great jazz composers, such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and George Gershwin. For this tour, they’ve taken along some Finnish compositions, too.
The conductor of Tesar Jazz Band is the band’s founder, music teacher Kystian Tesarczyk.
